Easy Guidelines to Expose Your Blog

By Emmanuel Chukwu

Blogging is the front line of the world wide web nowadays, different kind of blogger pops in the internet with their own purpose, some want to entertain, some want to express their selves and some want to earn big bucks. The content of your blog matters most, but what will happen to your blog if the readers themselves don't know someone as good as you exist. That's why blogging tips of all sorts are floating in the blogosphere. Also tips for general and specific improvement of blogging.
Involve yourself on writing projects
There are numerous site in the world wide web that operate writing project. I think that you should submit a post to every writing project you joined. Naturally when the project is complete, this will generate numerous of back links by web surfers that are picking their favorite contributions. You will also acquire a small number of extra links from people that make a post with every post contributed to the writing project.
Don't forget to leave valuable comments on other websites and blogs
One of the popular and best way of making people to find your blog easily is to join in some discussions on other blogs within your niche. Make sure to leave a good and remarkable comment for this will make the readers and authors realized that you are good and professional. Tracking up and following comments can also make a good impression of yours.
You can link to people when they do good work or send them some track-backs

This is also a good tool to help people find your blog. This can come in a couple of ways:
a) Many blogger choose to do it on a more private and consecrate way, individual post to highlight the work of another blogger within their niche. Through this you will get the chance of a better indexed and a better search engine ranking, it also let the users to comment on your personal posts and brought up a discussion.
b) The second method that is used by blogger, is to make up a post partnered with several links that go all over the place, such as "Daily Links" or "Weekly Links". In this way it is not so personal, and will not index well with search engines because the keywords is somewhat disorganized. This will also result to a small number of users to comment due to lack of focused in the subject. This method will need a lot of work and allow you to spread and share more links.
These are the two methods, it depends on you what will you use, but no matter what you choose, make sure that your blog does not become an echo chamber. You can contribute to each link in your post through adding some of your thoughts and opinions to the link. If your post is ready to publish you can send a track-back to each post that you link to. Then if you are linking to a smaller blog, the author may notice and try to see your website. Oppositely, if it is a larger blog, the author may not notice it, consequently those site will display track-backs and you will often get clicks from their readers who want to see others reactions to the post.
These tips is formulated specially for bloggers so that their website will be easily find by web surfers. But always keep in mind, even though you are good in inviting people to your blog, the content should not be forgotten thus prioritize it. You should write first a good article before inviting them to your website. And, if you are really self-assured with your blog, these are some highly efficient choices that are not free, such as advertising with Google Ad-words, Text Link Ads, or running a contest on your blog that comes with prizes.

Ways of Creating Traffic to Your Blog

By Emmanuel Chukwu

There are things that you can do to help get traffic to your blog for free without every having to pay anything. I created this list after asking myself what drives me to reading others blogs. Once you ask yourself this question, you too can create your own list. I am not like some of the other bloggers, I don't just tell you what to do, I give you a reason of why you should do it to get traffic to your blog. Enjoy the list and be sure to comment or add your own into the mix.

1. Content
Just like everyone has said from the beginning, content is king. If your content is worth reading then this can generate traffic to your blog and give you a potential income if this is what you are after. Write content that is worth reading and your readers will stick around for a while and maybe even tell their friends.

2. Make it search engine friendly
This isn't exactly necessary but it does work to some extent. I have heard many saying that you should create a blog with a domain name that tells what your blog is all about.

3. Submitting your blog
Every now and then, search engines like Google need a little helping hand to find your blog. Submit your blog to search engines and make it easier for people who are looking for you. This also helps search engines to get your blog indexed more quickly.

4. Ping blogging services
There are many places that allow you to ping your blog but Pingomatic is the best that I have found so far. Pinging helps to get traffic to your blog by pinging different services to tell them that you have updated your blog. If you use Wordpress, you may enter these in the pinging field to allow these services to be pinged automatically. Technorati even has a pinging service that you can use and we all know how important people think that the technorati authority is.

5. Build relevant links to your blog
This has been a touch situation for many bloggers since there are a lot of them that say that this is the wrong way to get traffic to your blog. In any case, I haven't seen it hurt anyone but I do recommend that you only get linked back to your blog by other relevant blogs. In order to get traffic to your blog by building links you will need to create or do a few things first. Commenting on relevant blogs is one way to get traffic to your blog, writing free article for free article directories is another but this is another touch issue; leaving trackbacks to other blogs can also help you to get links built.

6. Contest your way to getting traffic to your blog
I have seen many do this and it has proven to work. Create a contest of your choice and ask the participants to write a blog post about your blog with a link back. Give something good away so that you will drive more attention to your blog. The more people that enjoy what you are giving away, the more people will want to blog about you. A contest doesn't just help in getting traffic to you blog it can also have many other benefits.

7. Become and expert and start getting traffic to your blog
There is nothing worse than trying to get traffic to a blog that knows nothing about what they are posting. If you are just starting out or have been blogging for a while, take the time to learn as much as you possibly can about the subject. The more you know, the more you can blog about and the more you can teach people. Once you are an expert and people realize this, they will continue to come to your blog which in return means more traffic for you.

8. Start a tutorial
A tutorial doesn't have to be complicated and many more people will sign up for your RSS Feed or continue to return if you can promise them something worth returning over. I started my one year goal in hopes that I would accomplish my mission of making it as one of the top bloggers and this is a bit of a tutorial that I started for my readers. In my One Year Goal I will be giving all my readers the tips and secrets that I am using to get to the top by following a top blogger for a full month. If you want to see how this tutorial goes, sign up for my RSS Feed and learn along with me.

9. Write something that will get linked to
These are actually a favorite of mine since many will link back to you and help in getting more traffic to your blog. A great list is something like a resource list, list of tips, advice that everyone can use, Top whatever list. These types of list seem to draw the most attention and will create more links back to your blog. I also like doing a number list.

10. Become an active blogger
Being active will help in getting traffic to your blog. The more people see your name, the more they are going to want to know about you. I am very active in forums, blogs, and anywhere else that I can be. I have found that if you are active and use your URL in places that allow you to use it, people will click.

Earn Money For Every User Click - Sell Your Web Traffic Via PPC

By Emmanuel Chukwu

With a large number of unique visitors, you can grow your site from a hobby into a business. But you have to know where to start on your journey toward monetization. Websites can be very lucrative, but they won't stay that way if you don't focus first and foremost on the quality of your content. Sure, you may be able to pull a few tricks with your search engine optimization to get yourself listed high for one or two days, but the moment that people find out you have nothing of value is the moment that you can say goodbye to that notoriety almost as instantly as it came. To really have a site that succeeds, you need to know what you are talking about and have a way of expressing that to the audience that compels them to come back for more and to recommend your site to other friends.
After you have developed the right content scheme and paid particularly close attention to the targeted keywords, you need to enroll in a pay per click advertising campaign. The PPC model can make you money 24 hours per day and 7 days per week without any fear of letting up. As long as the content, the keywords, and the traffic are there, PPC can change your life forever. With PPC, businesses pay you each time someone clicks on one of their ads through your website. People do not even have to buy anything!
The reason that many sites are using this model is that it is mostly a hands free way of earning money. While you still have to make sure that your site is the best that it can be, you don't have to worry about devising the advertising message, testing it out to see which one becomes a control, or a most often clicked message. You also don't have to worry about billing or shipping or any of the rest of that stuff. The advertiser usually develops the ad, but may use the help of a service to craft one that works. From there, the PPC campaign searches out websites like yours to get the message out to their target audience. As long as you've opted in to display ads, you can rest easy knowing that the visitors of your site are seeing ads they will most likely feel compelled to click on. From there, earning money is a breeze.

Make Extra Commissions From Sports Betting Affiliate Programs

By Emmanuel Chukwu

Sports betting programs have become one of the best ways to generate income today. People like to bet on their favorite sports or teams they support, leading bookmakers offer incentives for new accounts and around all that operate well organized affiliate programs paying high percentage recurrent commissions to the affiliate. But there is another method you can utilize to boost your income bookmaker affiliate programs.
In addition to generating income for yourself via your commissions for referring new account holders to the bookmakers you can increase that and earn extra commissions by referring other affiliates as well. This is known as a "two-tier" program and is well worth looking out for when you are deciding which sports betting affiliate programs to promote or perhaps looking to get in to new ones. Make sure they operate a two-tier sub-affiliate option so you have the opportunity to enhance your commissions via the work of others.
By referring other affiliates you can typically expect to earn around 2% - 5% of the commissions generated by sub-affiliates you refer. That might not sound like much however it is literally money for nothing for you - because you have earned it through the efforts of the affiliate you referred - and if you refer a number of active affiliates it can soon add up in to a tidy additional income stream.
For example let's say you refer ten new affiliates to a bookmaker's program which will pay you even just 2% of their commissions. Each of your ten sub-affiliates generates $100 per month or $1,000 in total between them. You get 2% of that ($20) for doing nothing. And it's on top of any commissions you generate for yourself directly.
You can do this for any affiliate program operating a sub-affiliate referral opportunity. It does not have to be related to sports betting however you can see the potential here. Most programs these days offer great ways for affiliates to earn extra income if they refer other affiliates.
You can usually get all the promotional tools you need to refer sub-affiliates from within your own account. These usually include specific text-links and banners. You can use the statistics and reports also from within your account to see how many people are clicking on your sub-affiliate links, how many have converted and how much commission has been generated for you by your sub-affiliates.
To sweeten the pot even more, some operate to deeper levels of sub-affiliation and you can even earn a slice of affiliate referrals your affiliate referrals make. So to demonstrate this by extending the example above, and depending on if a multi-level sub-affiliate scheme is in use, you could be earning say 0.5% of commissions generated by affiliates referred by affiliates you have directly referred on top of your own direct commission and commission earned by your direct affiliates.
Betting affiliate programs can work well in these circumstances for the reasons outlined earlier in this article. People like to bet on their favorite sports and teams and the new account incentives offered by the major bookies convert well and offer high recurrent commission shares to affiliates. Add to that the extra potential for commissions from sub-affiliates and it can all add up to a nice extra income stream.

Make Your Money Work For You Via the Internet

By Emmanuel Chukwu

Nowadays many people are making money working from home via the internet. There are many different ways this can be done but there are also many scams out there so one must be very careful.
First let me start of with a legit no fee work from home business. There aren't too many of these types of home internet businesses, but this is one of the few. It is called "Niche Marketing" among other similar names. The basic principle is to create a website about a certain topic that has the ability to make it to the first or second page of the Google search results. The main reason being that if you can get to the first or second page of Google then it's highly unlikely anyone will ever find your site.
This Niche Marketing has no fee whatsoever attached to it. That doesn't mean however it is without costs. You will need to buy a domain for each site you make (about $10 per year) and also have webhosting. It is by no means a scam but of course it is by no means easy either. You need to have some computing knowledge as you need to buy domains and create websites. Many use WordPress which is fairly easy to use but even for an experienced computer guy setting up your first WordPress website will take some time. Once you have done one, of course, it gets very easy.
Further you will need to do "keyword research". This is possibly the longest part of the job as you need to find "niches" i.e. keywords where the competition is low so that there is a good chance you will reach the first page of Google, or close to it.
Once you have found your topic then there are a couple of ways you can make money with your new website. The most popular and perhaps easiest is with Google AdSense. This is completely free to join and you basically give Google some space on your website and when people click on the ads you earn money. Very easy!
You can expect to make about $1 per day with Google AdSense on a niche site. (Unless you are lucky enough to find a niche with high search traffic - very hard to find). The idea is to have many of these websites so that you can make possible $100s per day depending on how many sites you have. The nice thing is that once the site is set up and running it shouldn't need any work afterward. So you spend a lot of time creating the sites but then you just relax forever as the sites earn money.
You can also make money through affiliate programs. So if your site is about Pet Toys then you can find another website that sells pet toys and become an affiliate for that site making a commission off of each sale that is made from the customers you send to that site. Therefore you can have 2 potential forms of income from the same site.
Now perhaps you aren't very good at creating websites but you are eager to try to make money online. The other very popular way is by joining some sort of MLM or Pyramid scheme. Many people think that these are scams but they aren't really. Sure there are many that are scams, but just because some are scams doesn't mean that all of them are.
Things to avoid are anything that sounds like "Google Cash Kit" or "Make Money With Google", these are very scammy in that they try to sell you a kit for $2-$5 (very low price). They make it out that this is all you pay, a small fee for the shipping but what you don't realize is that you have just signed up for a subscription service that might cost you $50-$100 per month. The crazy thing about this is that it's completely legal. The reason being that at the bottom of the page where you provide your credit card details there is some very small writing about the monthly fee. Of course it is never mentioned anywhere else and all the sales pages make you think that it is just a cheap kit you are buying and all you have to do is pay the shipping.
Another scam to avoid is the work from home stuffing envelopes scam. The websites promoting this supposed work from home job make it out to be that many companies are willing to pay people to handle and process their mail for them. This is by no means true. I should know because I used to fix the machines that are used to perform this job. Companies like Francotyp Postalia, Pitney Bowes and Neopost all make machines that automate this process and work infinitely faster than any human can. Further many companies offer this service in bulk (because they have these machines) and it works out to pennies a piece. So what company in their right mind is going to pay anyone $10 or more per hour to do a job that can be done by a machine at 100 times the speed and therefore much cheaper?
If you have seen any sites trying to promote this type of work you will notice that you will need to pay a fee in order to do the work. This is your first alarm signal. They say the fee is to weed out the people who aren't serious or to purchase the names and contact details of companies who want this work done but it isn't true. You are just buying into a scheme whereby you try to get others to do the same and earn a commission for doing so. The companies promoting this are not very up front about this so that's why I would label it as a scam. You can of course make money from promoting this, but you make your money by duping others into falling into the same trap. Not a really nice way to make money.
Other scams should be easy to identify. Any site that has a "guarantee" about the income you can earn is a scam as no one can ever guarantee anything. All success is down to how much work you put in and a little bit of luck. This is something that no one in their right mind can make a guarantee for.
Another very popular way to make money legitimately online is to join a real MLM scheme. One of the most popular and well known schemes is GDI (Global Domains International). You basically pay $10 per month to be a member and that $10 gets you a very basic webhosting service. Illegal MLM schemes don't give you anything for your money (ie no product), but this is a real product. It just so happens that most people don't really care about or use the product. Nevertheless it's real and legal. They have been going for about 10 years now and I even think they are traded publicly on the stock market (I could be wrong).
You earn money by getting others to join, so you advertise on the internet wherever you can. Most people use free advertising like traffic exchanges and so forth. The commission is $1 per month per person. But you also get the same commission if one of your referrals gets a referral. This happens up to 5 levels down. So, simply speaking, if you got 1 person per month, and everyone did the same, you would be earning $1000s per month after your first year. It's very slow going in the beginning but it picks up as you stick at it and the idea is to get the snowball rolling. Now the goal of 1 person per month seems very easy but in reality it isn't. Not necessarily for you, but perhaps for others. The numbers all seem very easy in theory, but in practice it just doesn't happen that way.
However, if you are very skilled in sales and marketing then you will likely be successful with GDI. They also offer a very good bonus scheme. If you get 5 signups within a week you can earn a $100 cash bonus. This is possibly the best bonus scheme available on the internet.
The drawbacks with GDI is that it's been around for so long so almost everyone is in it or already has been. The only possible or potential customers are the new people who come to the internet in search of work and haven't heard of or tried GDI yet (like me a year ago - I am no longer a member now however). These people can be considered "fresh fish" for GDI marketers. The thing is there are thousands of thousands of GDI marketers online. It's kind of like fishing in a lake where there are thousands of people fishing at the same time. If 1 new fish enters the lake what are the chances that you will catch it? So in the end I dropped out of GDI as I didn't see a great future in it. However, that may not be the case for you so by all means give it a try. The most you can lose is $10 per month. Don't let me put you off if you were considering trying it out. Nothing ventured nothing gained right?
However before jumping into GDI, you might want to consider some of the new competition that has come on the scene in the last year. One of the best, in my opinion, is Teamwork Revolution. They are very similar to GDI in that they are $10/month and the product is again webhosting. Their webhosting product however is far superior to GDIs. GDI only offer 100MB of web space or 10 pages, whichever comes first. Teamwork Revolution offer full blown cPanel webhosting service with 700MB of space and unlimited pages as well as unlimited traffic and other necessary things like MySQL Databases. Therefore GDI can't even hold a candle to Teamwork Revolution when it comes to product comparison.
Their compensation plan is also much better. First of all it is a forced matrix program. If you aren't familiar with what a forced matrix is it basically means you have the possibility of getting spillover. The whole point of these MLMs is to get people to join under you. Well, if you are in a forced matrix it's possible that you will receive spillover from your upline thereby earning commissions without even doing anything. This isn't only a great benefit for you, but it is also a huge selling point for future potential recruits. Everyone loves forced matrices, so if you aren't in one it will likely be much harder to entice people to join as there are so many forced matrices now.
As for compensation, you earn up to 6 levels down, unlike GDIs 5 levels. Further, Teamwork Revolution give you $2 per month per person for the first 5 people which means once you have 5 people on your first line you break even, unlike GDI where you would need double that (ie 10 people) in order to break even. Moreover, Teamwork Revolution give you $2/person per month commission for the recruits on your 4th line as well. All in all, the commission structure is far superior to GDI's.
The only advantage GDI have over Teamwork Revolution (and pretty much every other competitive company) is their bonus scheme. I already said that GDI pay $100 for every 5 people sponsored within 1 week on top of the $1/person per month residual commissions. Teamwork Revolution don't offer this so if you think you can sponsor 5 or more people per week into GDI then GDI is definitely for you. However, for most people, 5 people per month is hard enough never mind 5 people per week. So for these reasons I would recommend Teamwork Revolution over GDI any day. I hope I have given you some food for thought if you happen to have been considering GDI as a way to make money online.
Now you may be wondering if I think it's such a great company and money making opportunity why did I leave? The main reason is that it didn't quite work for me personally. I tried it out for about 5 months and I was able to personally sponsor about 10 people but the problem was is that's where it stopped. Those others weren't able to replicate the process. Possibly because they didn't bother trying (an unfortunate drawback with forced matrices is that they attract lazy people who think they can get rich purely on spillover - impossible!) or it's possible they did try but they just didn't succeed. Whatever the reasons, eventually the people I recruited dropped out after they didn't see the expected or hoped for success. This is a huge challenge with these monthly payment matrices. You feel like you are constantly bailing water out of a leaking boat. Although you have no boss or anyone telling you what to do and when to do it, you still feel under a lot of pressure to recruit quickly. If you don't keep the ball rolling then it's very likely your matrix will implode as people drop out. If you aren't able to keep recruiting new people and providing spillover then people drop out, which in turn causes others to drop out as they see their own downline dropping out. So for this reason I decided to give up all together on the monthly payment matrices. I don't like working hard to build a business only to see it collapse. It feels like you are building a house on water. I prefer to build on concrete (so to speak).
Where I have had most of my success and profit is with 1 time payment matrices. These are great and also have excellent potential. You can make just as much money with these MLM programs and possibly even more. What I like about them is you only ever make 1 payment so your risk is limited entirely to that 1 payment as apposed to monthly payment matrices where your risk is dependent upon how long you stay in the program. Further, with 1 time payment matrices if you decide to take a months holiday there is no risk. People don't drop out of 1 time payment MLMs. If you stop marketing for a while, there's no leaky boat feeling. Theses MLMs never implode or go backwards, this is like building on top of concrete.
One of the successful programs I tried was 4x1 Fortune. It is only $11 to join and it is a "Cycler Matrix". What that means is you need to "cycle" before you make any commissions. Once you make 6 sales you will cycle and earn $30. So you nearly triple your money after only 6 sales which is pretty good. If you make 5 sales you earn nothing. The commission doesn't happen until the 6th person. It is also a forced matrix so you will possibly get spillover or spillunder once in a while but I always stress this should never be relied upon. If you do this you won't get anywhere. Although it's possible to get spillovers I recommend just carrying on as if this didn't happen that way when it does it's just a nice bonus. The "product" in this case is just some e-books and videos and stuff to help you with online marketing. Most people don't care about the product, they just want the chance to make some money. So if you are looking for a simple program with low risk and one that actually works and pays, then 4x1 fortune is definitely one to consider.
If for some reason you don't want to risk $11, or you want to try something that is even easier, then I recommend Work for $3 (WF3D). This is only $3 to join as the name implies (well there is a $0.40 alertpay fee). This is basically a mailing list builder. This is a highly useful tool especially for online marketers. As you recruit others to join this list you earn a little bit of money. It is by no means a lot of money but it has the potential to turn into millions. For example, if you recruited just 3 people in your first month and then never recruited again ie retired, and everyone else did the same thing, then in your 11th month you would earn almost $18,000. It seems crazy but it's a fact. Only 3 people in the first month seems easy, especially considering I recruited about 30 people in my first month. However, I am in my 7th month or so and the reality is that other people are not able to recreate the same success I had. In fact there are many who after 7 months haven't recruited a single person. Possibly because they haven't tried or perhaps they have tried and failed, and then there are others who consistently get signups every week which is contributing to the growth of my downline. I have personally now recruited about 100 people, but my downline is about 500 because some of the 100 that I recruited have become successful recruiters themselves. It's all about what you put into it.
So if you are looking for a really easy program with the potential to turn into decent residual income then give Work for $3 (WF3D) a try. The worse case scenario is that you lose $3.40 right? But the best case scenario is you will have a residual income for years to come like I am enjoying right now. Even after 7 months I am only seeing about $10/month in residual commissions, but it's still free money and I'm not really trying hard at it anymore. Further, it definitely has the potential to grow into a lot more than that.

Disabled AdSense Account? Top 10 Alternatives to Adsense

By Emmanuel chukwu

This article is for who have not tried any monetizing methods to make money online from blog or website other than Google AdSense. And for who have tried to apply for Google AdSense but not succeed. And also for whose AdSense accounts are disabled recently.
After the grand success of internet marketing company Google AdSense, countless people are diving in the Internet, The ocean of Opportunities to make money online. There are many advertising programs other then Google AdSense who let you earn online through your online content. Actually it won't be worthless giving a try to other alternatives of AdSense even if you are satisfied with earnings form Google AdSense.
Before I introduce AdSense alternatives, I would like to explain, why some people (may be your also) will prefer using other ad network than Google AdSense. Some of the well known comparison parameters between these AdSense like advertising programs are
  • Mode of payment and minimum payout limit per month.
  • CPC (Cost per Click) rat, Relativity of ads with content.
  • Availability of ad network program in publisher's locality for easy payment.
I always heard web publishers and bloggers complaining about the absent of PayPal payment option in Google AdSense, and in many countries like India, Google AdSense gives only single mode of payment, that is through check in local currency. It becomes difficult for publishers in these countries while they want to pay online through PayPal for hosting or other purchasing and they really want online income in their PayPal account. OK so let us try other alternatives with the comparison parameters explained below.
  1. Yahoo Publisher Network: This is similar ad network to Google AdSense and in very tough competition with Google AdSense. Provides, relative ads like AdSense and minimum payout limit is 100$.
  2. Chitika ad network. Most poplar specially for US traffic. If your blog or website receives US traffic more than other countries, probably this may become more earning option than others. Its search term based advertising features and filling blank space in wider screen with a ads gives you chance to increase your online earning. Chitika offers payout to your PayPal account and this is probably best AdSense alternative.
  3. Kontera. This in not like normal CPC ad network similar to above all. Its intext ad network like infolinks. Offers PayPal payment with minimum payout limit of 50 USD.
  4. Infolinks. This is another in text advertising program like kontera. Offers PayPal payment and minimum payout limit is 50 USD.
  5. Adbrite. This program is specially designed to sell ad space on your blog and website to make money from it.
  6. Bidvertiser. An another CPC ad network which gives payment in your PayPal account.
  7. Text Link Ads. This program allows you to sell text links and intext links in to your blog or web content.
  8. Clicksor. An another in text advertising program like kontera and infolinks.
  9. BuySellAds: Specially designed to buy and sell ad space on blogs and websites. This is different from AdSense like CPC programs; it's like trading platform for ad space on blogs and websites where prices and cost are decided by seller and buyer per time basis.
  10. TribalFusion. Best paying program, but requires very huge visitors base per month.

AdSense Tips

By Emmanuel Chukwu

Google AdSense can bring a lot of additional income from your website, but a simple search around on the Internet and you will see that getting approved is far from easy.
So what kind of things do you need to do to make sure that your application gets approved?
Well you need to have original content and lots of it. Typically if you are running a blog I would suggest that around 60 to 80 posts is a good idea and that they are all your own work. If you just cut and paste articles from another source on to your blog then it is highly unlikely that you will get approved as it will simply look like a made for AdSense site.
It is also a good idea to add an "About us" page, and put a brief bio of yourself up on it, as this shows that you are human and it is not just a spammy blog made with the sole intention of making money from ads.
Adding a "Contact us" page will not do any harm to your application either and will enable anyone from Google that reviews your page to check that the contact details you have applied with are the same as the ones on your website.
You also need to ensure that none of your content infringes any of Google AdSense's policies as you are not allowed any references to porn, violence, race hate etc. If your site has user-generated content then this is something that you will carefully need to manage, both for the initial application and continued compliance, to avoid a ban.
Your site also needs to look reasonably good visually and you should think "If I was an advertiser would I be happy seeing my advert on it?" If the answer is no, then you need to work on the look of your site until you are happy with it. That is the kind of thing that Google thinks about when deciding if your site should be approved for an AdSense account.
Lastly it is vital that you have an AdSense compliant privacy policy and this is one of the things that many website owners forget, yet it is mandatory that your site has one and this has been the case now for over two years. Fail to have one and your application can be rejected, or if you already have a site and it is found not to have one then it could result in a ban.
It may take you a little while to ensure that your site follows these guidelines, however taking the time to follow them is likely to see your AdSense account approved and not rejected. It is also worth noting that it is notoriously hard to get approval once your site has been rejected.

Skyrocketing your adsense revenue

By Emmanuel Chukwu

Dress Your Ads For Success
1. Don't leave your ads looking like...well ads! Many AdSense users simply follow Google's default format settings to setup their ads. Big Mistake! If your ad looks like an ad people are generally going to ignore it. As for those banners... please! Nearly everybody online hates banners and avoids them like the plague. So don't make the mistake of thinking that visitors to your website will behave any differently to those AdSense banner ads you may have set up. Simply put...do without the AdSense banners if you want to cash in.
2. Optimal Placement of Your Ads. In the real world it's said that location...location...location is everything. Same thing goes for the web, at least as far as AdSense is concerned. If your ads are tucked away where no one can see them basically you aren't going to get any clicks. Think about it--when people go to a website the first thing they do is absorb as much information before ever scrolling. That part of the page they see without scrolling is called above the fold. That is where you want to put your ads. Remember easier seen means more clicks...which means more ka-ching!
More Is Less. The number of ads you've got above the fold will influence your visitors clicking habits. Google puts the top-paying ads topmost with the lower paying ones at the bottom. If you have a stack of ads all located above the fold those cheaper ads might steal attention away from the more profitable ones. So keep this in mind...more is not necessarily better as far as your AdSense revenue is concerned.
3. Wave Goodbye To That Border. So you've spent a lot of time putting up intelligent and useful content on a beautifully designed site...shame that you've got to tarnish such wondrous aesthetics with Adsense. But guess what...you don't have to! You can easily blend your ads in to compliment the overall layout of your site. First thing--Get rid of that border delineating your ads. Next, make your AdSense text the same colour as that of the rest of your site. People are more likely to click on it thinking it's part of that useful content on your site.
4. Text Ads versus Image Ads. And the winner by unanimous decision is (drum roll)...Text Ads! With the right formatting your text ads will blend in with your content. Text ads are also more flexible with respect to tweaking and positioning. Another thing about text ads, is that you can squeeze more of them in the space taken up by an image ad (banner). Text ads don't appear like clutter whereas banners do!
5. Keywords. The content on your web pages determines the AdSense ads that appear there. If your site does not have a specific theme then Google will gladly supply you with non-profit general service ads. So as you can see Content is Still King! Even so you can quite easily (and legitimately) influence the AdSense ads supplied to your site by strategically placing keywords in specific locations on your site without diluting your site's copy (text tailored towards a specific goal and written for your visitors).
These are just a few of the simple optimizer tweaks that AdSense Experts utilize to cash in big from Google Adsense. Remember that people generally need to be exposed to something at least seven times before they're comfortable enough to purchase it. So if you're an affiliate marketer or any kind of online seller (or for that matter as long as you have a site) why not put up AdSense on your site and make some easy revenue while your visitors familiarize themselves with what your site has to offer.

ADHERING TO ADSENSE RULES

by Emmanuel Chukwu

Most people due to the eagerness to start making money online via Google adsense ignore the importance of knowing the rules of how to use adsense. Many beginners dismiss the need to know about all the rules often assuming that all AdSense rules are common sense. It is essential for one to know the rules of the game before he/she starts playing it otherwise one could spend a long time doing it wrong.

The fact is that AdSense is a scheme that operates on the web that enables publishers to make money. With so many things on the web been so quick, free and easy, it doesn't take much to realize that it needs to be controlled and regulated tightly for it to work properly. That's why AdSense has so many rules, some of which are dynamic, to make sure that the scheme works properly. But despite all the rules in place there are still some experienced AdSense publishers that still break them and of course get punished.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE ADSENSE RULES YOU NEED TO KNOW
·         You should be aware that Google are very strict about the type of website that their ads are displayed on. Google would not approve for their ads to be put on pages containing; Adult stuffs, gambling and hacking content. Adsense also can’t be used on sites that promote violence, absences or religious intolerance. Also you wont be allowed to put Adsense on sites or blog that contain negative, non-family safe and potentially offensive material.
Unfortunately, some of these types of sites are extremely popular on the web. But remember, DO NOT put Adsense ads on these sites unless you want to get banned.
This rule also applies to content generated by users of a website or blog. As an Adsense publisher, Google makes you responsible for ALL the contents that you display on you website or blog. So as a website or blog owner, you must monitor all the contents that is created and published by the users of your site and make certain that it does not violate Adsense rule(s). If you think that some of the content created on by your user might be a borderline material, you may have to make them aware of Adsense policies and add a ‘Report a violation’ link to all the pages in question.

·         The rule against copyright infringement.
Copyright infringement is rife on the web and is often overlooked by people. Google Adsense responds swiftly and sometimes terminate the Adsense account of any person found guilty of copyright infringement. Google Adsense rules on this matter are clearly stated in the section that discusses th Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Google have a very solid system in place that enables individuals to file a notice of infringement and which also enables individuals to file a counter notice.

·         The last important AdSense rule involves click behavior. Even though it sounds ridiculous there are some AdSense beginners that still believe they can get away with clicking their own ads. After all, how is Google going to know it's them?
Well Google do know, they do find out. Clicking on your own ads is one of the easiest ways to get yourself banned.
Other AdSense publishers use more subtle ways on their sites to encourage the click. Some use images, symbols (like arrows) and text to 'influence' clicks from visitors.
However, all these methods are not allowed by Google. Clicks must originate from genuine human interest in the ads themselves, not by the publisher encouraging them.
You cannot use methods to encourage accidental clicks by covering ads with hyperlinked images. Or embedding a Google ad link unit into a menu system so that a visitor can't tell the two apart.
You cannot deliberately bring undue attention to the ads themselves by using text such as 'Great Resources', 'More Information Here', or simply 'Navigation.'
These are only some of the rules you need to know about AdSense. But if you are planning to use AdSense, or if you already have a site but want to know more go to Google and find more about their Terms of Service (ToS). Ignorance is no excuse for getting banned. Get informed so that you can use AdSense more confidently and securely.

AdSense Blog Money Making Ideas

Blogging is fast becoming a popular pastime among thousands of would-be writers all around the globe. Some of these blogs tend to generate a lot of traffic, which means they can become money making AdSense blogs if their writers so choose.

Learning how to make an AdSense blog is a fairly easy process, too. All that's necessary is a good blog with a focused subject matter and traffic. To get started with an AdSense blog a few things will need to be done:
·Pick a topic or focus for the blog. Some incredibly popular AdSense blog entries actually serve as collection sites for lots of interesting information on the web. Others, choose pretty narrow topics that their writers know well and they stick with them. Whatever the case, an AdSense blog needs a focus before it can be created.

·Choose an AdSense blog program.
There are many free blogging programs out there that are designed to offer their users easy access to becoming AdSense blog entries. This means AdSense works with the blogs by putting ads directly on them with little or no work from the blog owners.

·Content.
Before an AdSense blog can take off, it needs to have content. This means writing blog entries on a fairly regular basis. If the topic is one that's near and dear to the writer's heart, it's fairly easy to keep an AdSense blog updated on a daily basis or close to it. Entries don't have to be long, but they have to be interesting.

·Traffic.
Getting traffic to an AdSense blog can take some time, but it can happen. There are some blogs out there that get thousands and thousands of visitors each day. They do this by joining news services, advertising, using keywords and tags and so on. If the content is solid and engaging, an AdSense blog will build up its daily viewers fairly easily over time.
·Patience. This goes along with the traffic for an AdSense blog. It takes time and patience to build up a blog and its visitors. If these two things are employed, a blog will generally see a steady growth of visitors and will even become a daily stop for some.

·Images.
It's hard to believe, but many AdSense blog sites generate their traffic by including images with the posts. Some blogs might have trouble getting listed with search engine news services, but their images show up, driving traffic to the sites.
One of the biggest keys to making money using an AdSense blog is to create a topic that's interesting and fun. If the writers behind the site enjoy writing about the stated topic, the traffic generally will come. Make the content interest and useful, and an AdSense blog can pay off very well.

Traffic Adsense Money 3 Words That Could Change Your Life

There are many ways to make extra money on the Internet but none I feel are as simple and automatic as Google's AdSense program
If you're not familiar with it, here is a quick break down of how it works. Website owners, who are looking to monetize their traffic, sign up for the AdSense program. They get paid a portion of the money Google's receives from it's advertisers each time someone clicks an ad on your site.
Place a bit of code on your Website pages where the AdSense ads are to appear and presto start collecting money from the traffic that clicks on your ads. Now that you know how AdSense works let's talk about a formula to success that could change your life. It is.
Traffic + AdSense = MoneyAs simple as this formula sounds, each element has a direct impact on how much money you'll make. Starting with traffic. It is probably the most important element of all.
Without traffic to your site, no one is going to click your ads I know what you're thinking, "If I knew how to generate traffic I wouldn't need..." There's an old saying "it takes money to make money". Well in our case it takes traffic to make money.

4 Proven Methods To Drive Traffic To Your Website!
Need Traffic? Try these free or low cost traffic-generating tips. Some are easy to implement while others take a little more effort on your part.
  1. Use a signature file. In every email you send include a link to your website at the bottom where you sign your name.
  2. Visit and participate in forums related to your website. This not only delivers targeted traffic to your site but also produces important one-way back links to your site. These back links help boost your search engine rankings.
  3. Writing Articles Write or have someone else write articles related to your website. Then submit them to article directories. Theses articles will also include a link to your website. This is an often overlooked but very good way to generate traffic.
  4. Capturing Email Addresses This is by far the most effective and lucrative way to generate traffic to your site. The direct result is the increase in the amount of AdSense money you earn. This does take some effort on your part but believe me it will definitely be worth it. The first thing you need to do is sign up with an auto responder service like Aweber. They will handle all of the administrative and technical aspects of capturing your visitors email addresses. They will also deliver via email your articles or other content you provide. After you get a few sign ups and some articles written, send an email to your subscribers with a short description of what your article is about. Include a link to the web page where the full article is located. Of course you'll have a few strategically placed AdSense ads there just waiting to make you money.
Warning Checking Your AdSense Stats Is Addictive!
Yes it is true! At first you'll check to see If you made any money. Then you'll check to see how much money you made. I bet you'll check your AdSense earnings 5-10 times a day. I have to admit I still check my account a couple times a day too! What I want to teach you is not to see if, or how much AdSense money your have made, but how to maximize the earnings from the traffic you have. This is where the AdSense element of our life changing formula comes into play.

Does Your AdSense Pot Of Gold Have A Hole In It?
Without knowing it, you could be losing a tremendous amount of AdSense money. Have you ever heard the principle of "never leaving money on the negotiating table"? It refers to a negotiator who has failed to extract all of the money due him even though it was clearly there for the taking. There is nothing worse that hearing, "now that you signed the contract we were really willing to pay you more"
This principle hold true with AdSense too! You're not going to extract all the money available to you, by simply putting AdSense ads on your site and forgetting about them. The money is there you just have to do every thing you can to extract it. So in order get the most amount of money you can from AdSense you need to know which ad formats and placements produce the best click through rate. There are approximately 11 ad formats and an unlimited number of colors combinations to choose from.
In general it is best to blend in the ads using you existing colors and layout of your website. It your ads look like ads people won't want to click on them. I've had good success using the 336 x 280 large rectangle ad and wrapping my content around it.
Tracking my ads is something I wish I had learned early on. It wasn't until I purchase some AdSense courses and starting following a few forums did I realize just how important it is
I recommend getting some sort of AdSense tracking software. Google provides tracking data but in order to take your earnings to the next level you need more information than they provide.

Money: The 3rd element of our Life Changing Formula
With AdSense your earning potential is only limited by the amount of traffic you receive and your click through rate. But there is one more way to make more AdSense money. You must optimize your content and articles around high paying keywords. It will take some research on your part but it could make the difference between getting a dollar per click or just a few cents per click.

Here is what I mean Google uses smart technology to make sure that ads are targeted to the subject matter of your site. Say your site is about Burglar Alarms. Advertisers may pay approximately 2.99 per click to Google to advertise under the keyword phrase burglar alarm

But if they wanted to advertise using the keyword phrase home security systems they pay approximately $5 per click to Google. Now both of these keyword phrases are commonly understood to mean the same thing. It only makes sense that your share of the revenue would be higher if you targeted the keyword phrase home security systems rather than burglar alarms in your website content.
Because Google is so secret about their methods in determining bid prices and payouts, this example is not meant to be 100 percent accurate. It does show however that the keyword phrases you target have a direct impact on the amount of AdSense money you earn.

In the beginning of this article I gave you a formula that could change your life. I've given you practical traffic generating tips and ways to maximize your earnings. Now I want to leave you with a few thoughts to tie it all together

You can make decent money adding AdSense to a single site. But why stop there. Why not build 20 or more sites. What if each one of your sites averaged a conservative 3 dollars a day. That's $600 extra dollars a month. I don't know about you but that kind of money is life changing to most people. Even more gratifying is helping change the life of someone else.

Whether you're new to AdSense or have been at it a while you can always learn more. As a matter of fact I've learned quite a bit from a very successful marketer who makes more than $19,000 a month from his AdSense sites. He has an AdSense course called Michael Cheney's AdSense Videos. It's like looking of his shoulder while he reveals the exact methods he uses.
In the end it still boils down to Traffic + AdSense = Money!

Top 5 Mistakes AdSense Publishers Make

You will hear from many successful internet marketers that Google AdSense is an excellent program for generating revenue for your website with little effort and maintenance. Profiting from Google AdSense can be easy if you know and comply fully with AdSense terms of service, and avoid common AdSense website mishaps and problems. Here are the top 5 AdSense mistakes made by web publishers:

#1. Knowledge of AdSense Terms of Service
Knowledge of AdSense terms of service is where many new to publishing and advertising on the Internet make their first serious AdSense mistakes so we have rated it as number 1 in our list of the top 5 mistakes AdSense Publishers make.
Many apply and have AdSense ads on their sites without actually reading the terms of service refer to it as TOS. Unfortunately, this lack of understanding can lead to termination. Once you are banned from Google AdSense, you will have a difficult time trying to get reinstated. Google consistently changes their policies and they are harsh as well as greedy. Lack of knowledge is no excuse. If they deem your site is in disarray or displays negligence of proper maintenance such as broken links, they may issue warnings or shut you down. Therefore, of all the rules and policies on the Internet, AdSense TOS is probably one of the most important to stay current on. It is important to note that AdSense terms and conditions may vary as to your Country and billing address. Be knowledgeable and change your sites as required to ensure you are in compliance to maintain AdSense membership and income potential.

#2. Solicit Clicks
Another one of the terrible sins under AdSense mistakes is for you to click on one of the ads placed on your site. As well, you cannot promote or solicit clicks from others, use automated tools or software designed to click on ads. Fraudulent clicks are strictly prohibited. Do not enlist your sites on traffic exchange or auto-surf programs. Google investigates clicks and those suspicious can result in no money and a lifetime ban. Occasionally, someone may illegally click your ads to get you banned. Report immediately and consider temporarily disabling the AdSense ads until Google has researched the AdSense problems and you have been cleared of any negligence. If you must check the ads appearing on your site, use the Google Preview Tool. Using click tracking software is highly recommended as a good marketing tool such as testing ad placement and to follow where clicks are originating.

#3. Change the AdSense Code
You do have options with optimizing and customizing your AdSense ads. Many feel that placement of AdSense ads is critical to success. Color must complement your web page so pay attention to detail such as the color of background, borders and text. You also must adhere to the number of AdSense ads you can place on your site. However, you can never make any changes to the actual ad or the code which Google has provided. This is absolutely forbidden and another violation of the TOS. Your website is only hosting the ad from another advertiser with the hopes that they, Google and you will make money from visitors to your site whom click on the particular ad.

#4. Multiple Google AdSense Accounts
Only one AdSense account per individual or business entity is allowed. If you are caught with more, you will be banned and not just on the one account but all accounts. That is a huge loss of potential revenue, thus not worth the effort of trying to outsmart Google. You can have as many websites as you want under the one account. While you apply with a primary website, you are not restricted to adding more non-related websites later. Google AdSense accounts are not transferable, assignable or resalable.

#5. Placing Ads on Content and Other Web Pages
Here is another common mistake that many AdSense publishers make. They do not truly understand what a content page is, what can be displayed on this page or how it can be displayed. Google does not accept about me websites, disorganized sites such as those with broken links, or sites which do not have enough original content. Content pages should contain "keywords" related to the theme of your website. These keywords are what will drive visitors to your site, read your information and interest the visitor in clicking on one of the related AdSense ads. This content should be unique and original, on topic with the theme of your site. It cannot be stolen, copied from another unless of course with permission. Copyright laws must be obeyed which includes images, videos and graphics. Content pages are not welcome or thank you pages, login registrations, gateways, emails, or pop-ups. If in doubt, do not put the AdSense code on the page.
As well, you cannot place your images next to ads which could mislead or confuse visitors or block the visibility of the AdSense ads with pop-ups for example. Lastly, you cannot have content that is of pornographic nature, hate-related, violent or illegal activity.

Your content pages may be designed for the primary source to generate AdSense income, or you may have another purpose but also want the earning potential of a passive income from AdSense, however to succeed, you must have interesting, original and "keyword" rich content that will attract and engage the visitor. You want this visitor to stay and click on those ads which will eventually lead to Google sharing the wealth and mailing you funds. And if you should get yourself banned due to violations of AdSense terms and conditions, do not despair. There are alternatives to Google AdSense which can also generate income for your sites.

Make Money With AdSense - 7 Fast Secrets Reveals How to Triple Your AdSense Revenue

If you rely on Google AdSense to make money with ads displayed on your website, you're probably frustrated with your lower payments lately.
When Google first offered to share their advertising revenue with us in the Spring of 2003, it was pretty easy to bank some nice cash when our visitors clicked on those tiny classified ads displayed on our site...
... But these days, those Google AdSense revenue payments are getting smaller and thinner... even as our traffic grows. Most say it's impossible to make money with AdSense. I felt the same way until a few months ago. Today, I know there's money to be made with AdSense ads... if you know the secrets which I'm about to share with you.
This short AdSense tutorial is going to reveal my best-kept AdSense secrets to DRAMATICALLY boost your Google AdSense earnings. I stumbled upon these secrets by reverse engineering some of the websites that brag about making over $100,000.00 a year.

Tweak your title for higher AdSense revenues
Tweaking the title on your webpage is often the difference between banking a few pennies per click on your AdSense ads to generating over a dollar per click.
Compare these similar phrases:
- DIY home surveillance
- do it yourself home security
Both keyword phrases seem identical... and they are in meaning. But the difference is advertisers are willing to pay 169 times more for webpages themed for "do it yourself home security" (average of $8.47 per click) compared to "DIY home surveillance" (5 cents a click).

Hit the Google AdSense "sweet spot"
My never-ending testing reveals there's a direct correlation between the placement of the AdSense ads and the resulting click through.
When ads are placed in "content zones" (rather than in "advertising zones), you typically generate more Google AdSense revenue. Where is the content zone? It's located just above your content. Most visitors are blind to ads placed in the traditional spots... but those same ads placed above the beginning of our content usually get clicked more often.

Introducing the perfect AdSense templates
While there are currently 12 AdSense templates to display, I find the 336 x 280 (large rectangle) ads convert better than any other format. And don't fret about optimizing for smart phones and mobile devices... my testing shows they hardly ever click on AdSense ads.

Make your AdSense ads blend in with your content
Let's face it, our website visitors HATE ads. Most use ad blockers and their 6th sense to avoid ads. That's why you want to have your AdSense blocks blend in with the overall appearance of your webpage. Have the background of your ads match the background of your webpage. And don't add borders... this tips off your webpage visitors that you're displaying ads.

Triple your AdSense revenues with this one addition
AdSense for Search is MUCH more profitable than AdSense for Content. It's true. In addition to placing standard AdSense template ads, I place a Google AdSense search box at the bottom of my content... and each click averages 317% higher eCPM (effective cost per thousand impressions) than displayed ads.

Dumb down your webpage
A new and very interesting study reveals the way a person arrives from a search engine like Google. It helps us understand how they click on your ads. Specifically, people who search by clicking the button on Google's homepage are 50% more likely to go on to click ads on your page than people who search by any other Google means, according to online ad network Chitika.
Confused? I understand. Let me explain... if Joe Blow searches Google for "hard drive recovery" and completes his search clicking the (Search) submit button, Joe Blow (on average) is 50% more likely to click on your AdSense ads than if he were to search using the [Enter] key.
Why the big difference? One can only guess that sophisticated web surfers are searching without the additional effort of clicking Google's [Search] submit button (while less-sophisticated searchers are clicking the search button -- and clicking on our Google AdSense ads.
Bottom line: It appears advertising click rates are inversely proportional to the "tech-savviness" of the people receiving the ads. So tweak your webpage theme to target beginners, not sophisticated users.

Eliminate unprofitable advertisers in a click
How'd you like to delete the worst advertisers (displayed on your webpages) in just a few fast and easy mouse clicks? Google now offers a best-kept secret way to ban advertisers who don't write profitable ads. It's called "Category Filters" and you find it by logging into your AdSense account and going here:
AdSense Setup --> Ad Review Center
As you see, Google shows you "Filtered Categories" and up-to-date results.
Google AdSense allows us to eliminate categories if they're unprofitable. For example, 8.9% of my ads display "Get Rich Quick" advertisers... nothing wrong with that, but my "% Recent Earnings" is 0.0%. That means I'm displaying ads that are paying me nothing. So I checked it off, clicked the [Submit] button... and now those unprofitable ads are no longer displayed.
There's no reason for you to struggle with making money with AdSense. If you're ready to get more AdSense income now, you might want to grab these make money with AdSense tips, techniques and methods.

10 Ways to Better AdSense Earnings

By

You can make lots of money monetizing your blog with AdSense if you have quality content, the right keywords, and the right AdSense ad layout. Many people complain they can't make money with AdSense or that it cheapens their site. I will show it how it will not only increase the value of your site, but how it will start building you monthly income!
I monetize my web sites and blogs in many different ways. I see many web sites missing out when it comes to non-invasive ways to monetize your web site or blog, and they don't have to be ways in which you anger your visitors. In fact - good monetization will always compliment your web site, not "cheapen" it. I have also read many articles that debate when to monetize, and there are still some hold-outs that say build up traffic on a site first and then monetize once it gets to a certain level. I'm sorry - that's just BS in my book, and I have the experience to back it up. Monetize your web site from day 1 - PERIOD!
Why? Every post and page is an opportunity to make money. Making money with a web site is like planting a garden. Why would you want to keep plowing the field for 6 months and and keep waiting to plant the seeds? Also monetization is marketing, and marketing takes time and skill. Yes - skill. The more you do it the better you become, so do it from day #1.
Making money online is like a sport or a professional trade.
Ingredients you WILL NEED to become SUCCESSFUL:
  1. Competent Trainers and Mentors
  2. Passion and Drive to Succeed
  3. Organization and Work Ethic
  4. Ability to make 10,000 mistakes and keep going
  5. Good Communications Skills
  6. Practice, Practice, Practice!
Today we're going to talk about monetizing your web site with Google AdSense. If you're already using Google AdSense - read this article anyway and learn how to make more money using AdSense. Click the banner above to join AdSense if you haven't already. By signing up with AdSense you can build code snippets and place ads on your web site.
AdSense Myths:
  • To make any money you need thousands of visitors per day
  • Ads will make a percentage of your visitors leave and not come back
  • AdSense cheapens the look of your web site
You would be surprised how much more money you could be making with some very basic and simple changes to your web site. Think about how much you could be making per day. Just $1 per day is $30 per month, which should more than pay for most basic hosting plans (and then some). Only $5 per day and you're making $150 per month, $10 per day is $300/mo. It adds up quicker than you think. Especially if you have more than one blog or web site to monetize.
AdSense Facts:
  • You can make $1-$3 a day on as little as 20-30 visitors per day
  • A percentage of your visitors quickly leave anyway (the bounce rate) - you can make money on that dead traffic
  • AdSense is so targeted that it's less of an intrusion and more of a service compared to other ads
The first thing you need to understand is where the ads come from. AdSense is fed by Google's other product AdWords. If you haven't used AdWords before - it's where you can pay to drive traffic to your web site - you "pay per click". In the AdWords marketplace - people "bid over keywords". The more competition there is for a keyword, the more it costs and the highest bidder wins the top slot, the next bidder the next slot, and so on. For example it may cost 50 cents per click to get the keyword "designer handbag", but I bet you can get "clay flowerpot" for under a nickel. It's all about supply and demand. The most searched for terms are fought over pretty fiercely. Once keywords are purchased, the AdSense algorithm places the actual ads on web sites - matching them up with keywords and content on web pages. The algorithm is pretty amazing, and in most case will be serving highly target ads to your web site within minutes. If the ads are way off target or inappropriate - you need to re-think your web site setup.
So once a keyword is purchased and an ad is written - it's matched up with a highly targeted web page where it should perform well. It doesn't matter how "busy" or popular that web site is, well performing and paying ads are placed on appropriate pages getting from a dozen to thousands of visitors per day. If you are using high paying keywords in your web site content, you will attract high paying ads. Did you understand that statement? Go back and read it two more times and think about it a minute.
That's right - the key to making money in AdSense is attracting well paying ads. If I have a web site that gets only 30 visitors per day, and 3 per day click an AdSense ad paying 35-50 cents, I can easily make $1 per day from this very low-traffic web site. Of course everyone wants to get more than 30 visitor per day, but all sites have to start somewhere. I'm illustrating how easy it is to make money from day #1. I do this in nearly all the sites I setup. Many of you that have used AdSense for a long time won't believe it, because in my example my AdSense clicks pay extremely high and the click-through-rate (CTR) is 10%. Most sites are lucky to get a 2-3% CTR on AdSense ads, and the clicks usually pay a nickel or less on average.
I said earlier that if you received off target ads your blog or web site layout was possibly not "AdSense optimized". If you want to attract high paying ads and make the most AdSense revenue possible from your existing traffic - I'll give you some very simple rules to follow when writing articles, pages, and posts. If you follow these very basic rules you will not only get more revenue per click with AdSense, but (in the long run) you will also get more visitors, and better search engine listings.
Top 10 Ways To Make More Money from AdSense Using Keywords
  • Obtain a URL with very important keywords in your niche: I can't say enough about this. The #1 reason I have so many domains is because when you build a niche site if the domain has your top 2 or 3 keywords in it - you immediately start getting traffic from post #1. This is very important.
  • Use permalinks, pretty URL's, etc: This is second most important whether you are using WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or whatever. As soon as you setup your software turn on permalinks, pretty URL's, or whatever it's called so you posts have "site.com/this-is-my-post". Having great keywords in the URL past the top level domain name is only second to keywords in the domain name itself.
  • Find the Best Keywords and Phrases: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Find out how to do keyword research. If you don't know what the best keywords for your niche are - there really isn't much point reading any farther than this...
  • Create a Great Title: When you write a post the title controls much more than you think. Everyday I read great articles with crappy titles. With every title you need to be thinking of using keywords that will be searched for while linkbaiting a title enticing people to click. This can be harder than it sounds, because the best titles are 6-8 words or less. I've gotten better at this over time, but it's just practice, practice, practice to become a master at it!
  • Have an H1 Title first: WordPress natively takes your html post title tag and puts it into an H1 tag as the textual title on the post's web page. If you use another CMS like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo, or something else make sure your Content Management System does the same. Keywords in header tags (especially the first header of the page) carry much more weight than laster in the content areas.
  • Start with a Synopsis Paragraph: Unless you are writing custom meta description tags for every single page the most important area of any post or page after the title is that first paragraph. This paragraph ultimately becomes your description under you title link in search engine results pages. You want to stick to 2 or 3 sentences when possible, or at least place your important keywords there. Remember - what you type will not only determine how well this page comes up in search results, but also how your page is described and why people click!
  • Bold important keywords as you write: As you write your post or article bold keywords and phrases when you are making points. These keywords, combined with your title and synopsis help target ads (and traffic!).
  • Link relevant sources: This is a given, but should be mentioned. Be sure to link only relevant items in your post - it helps target everything.
  • Organize sections using h3 and h4 headings: Using h3 and h4 headers in longer pages and posts is a great way to "sub-title" the page with even more targeted keywords. It's also easier to organize information (and for more people to follow and read).
  • Use keyword laden categories and tags: Just before you publish that page or post, be sure to use great keywords to both categorize and tag it.
Now back to the AdSense ads themselves. First - if you are brand new to AdSense, be sure to visit the newly created AdSense official newbie help at Google and get all the free information that you can. Second you want to get the code for the AdSense ads necessary for placement on your web site. I want you to view the Google heat map (you can find it in the newbie help link). This picture illustrates where a visitor's eyes go first, and where you would get the most clicks. Do you see how the reddest spot on the page is directly above the content? I want you to understand that if you could only place one AdSense ad per page - it should be directly above you content. In addition, the highest paying and best performing AdSense ad is 336x280 large rectangle.
So you're ready to place that ad? Not so quick - you need to "blend" it into the look and feel of your page. When you create it in AdSense setup make the background color the same as where it will be placed on your page. Make the font color and size the same, make the link colors the same too. I personally would never use video ads for any reason - only text. My reasoning on this is that in a 336x280 text ad you normally get 4 text ads, and that's 4 chances to make money. If a video takes up the entire 336x280 block - it's only 1 chance to make money, and it's images and video that can be intrusive to many visitors. IMHO - you would need some type of pop-culture (music, movie, celebrity, joke, media based) web site to be successful with image or video ads. Place one 336x280 AdSense ad directly before your content and one directly after. If you use Google analytics to track your web site - you many already be aware of your "bounce rate". When people come to your site, and quickly leave because they didn't find what they wanted they "bounce". To me a bounce rate of 20-30% is normal. Over 50% is incredibly high.
If you've placed the 336x280 blocks before and after the content your are placing highly targeted ads to soak up your bounce rate. In other words - if 20-30% of my customers are going to leave my site quickly anyway to find what they want - I'd prefer that they click on one of my AdSense ads to find it. I help them find what they need, and I get a "referral fee" for the click. Also visitors that stay awhile on my site many click an ad because they're in the same niche. It's like being in the library and finding the book you need, but seeing others on the same shelf you might also like.
Beyond the two mandatory AdSense blocks I use before and after the content - I often also add a 4 text link unit in a sidebar or a 160x600 skyscraper. How you feel about this is up to you and your layout. If you have other ads or sidebar content that could be earning money - it might be better placed there. But if all you have is the latest posts and some categories - these types of AdSense ads can help you not "leave any money on the table". That means - you might only make a few extra pennies or nickels per day - but if that money was just laying on the table would you just leave it there? Probably not. It adds up over time. Again - especially if you are monetizing multiple web sites.
I learned this term (money on the table) from Joel Comm, whose AdSense eBook I read a few years back just after setting up my AdSense account for the first time. For the first 6-7 months I used AdSense I made no money at all. After I read Joel's book I quadrupled my CTR and went from making pennies per day overnight to $3-$5. One month after reading that eBook I received my first ever Google AdSense check, and I've received one every month since.
So - if your web site or blog consistently using my techniques above you should have no problem earning more money from AdSense. A lot of times you read a great article like this and you wonder how successful it was for the author. Well, it worked for me - last year I made more than $10,000 from AdSense on just a few web sites...

Don't Settle For Cents With AdSense - 8 Things You Need to Know For Success With AdSense Websites

Now that I've got your attention I know you're wondering why anyone would want to go into an internet business that's only going to make you "cents". The fact is that lots of people all over the internet are building massive fortunes with the virtual AdSense empires. It's not unheard of to build a six or seven figure income in a relatively short period of time if you follow these "dos" and "Don'ts" of how to use AdSense.
People that tell you AdSense is dead or AdSense doesn't work are just not building their empires the right way and understanding how to make AdSense work.

Here's my list of my top "Dos" and "Don'ts" for generating revenue with your AdSense websites:
1. Don't put AdSense on your primary income generating pages (ie: sales pages, landing pages, etc.). If the intent of the page is to make income from your own product or an affiliate product, you do not want to have AdSense on the page. Why set yourself and your page up to earn just a few cents from a click of an AdSense ad when you could be making much much more money by selling your own/affiliate products from that page. AdSense ads on income generating pages are distracting to the visitors and may result in you losing your visitor and your sale altogether. Once an AdSense ad is clicked on they are taken off of your page you've potentially lost a sale. Sure, you'll get those few cents or dollars for the AdSense click, but is it worth it to risk losing the bigger sale? You need to understand that clicks on AdSense ads take visitors away from the page they are on.

2. Don't stick up a simple one page website with tons of Google AdSense on it and expect to make money from that page. The more pages you have on your website and the more good and relevant content you provide to your visitors, the more page views from that visitor and the greater the potential they will click on an AdSense ad and you earn money from that visitor. Additionally more pages and more contents means more relevant AdSense ads which increases your Click Through Rates. It is very difficult to get a single page website indexed and optimized for any of the search engines so the more pages you have the better your chances of getting ranked by the major search engines.

3. Don't ever ever click on your own website AdSense ads, or for that matter encourage your friends or associates to click them on for you. This is a total violation of Google AdSense and your account will be ripped away immediately if Google determines there is suspicious click throughs on your websites. Once Google cancels your AdSense account it takes an act of God to get it back, so RESIST all temptation to click on any of your own AdSense ads.

4. Do update your websites and keep them fresh with new content. Google loves it when you add new content to your websites. You might even want to consider adding a blog and a forum to your AdSense websites. Blogs and forums are great sources of new updated content. If you add a blog make sure you add it right to your websites, ie: mydomain.com/blog

5. Do take all of the articles you write for your website content and submit them to the article directories. My favorite article directories are EzineArticles.com, Goarticles.com, Articlecity.com, Ideamarketers.com and now the newest one Affsphere.com. Once your articles are approved by the article sites you'll start to see results in the search engines. In addition other website owners and bloggers that pick up your articles to add to their sites will provide backlinks to your AdSense Niche Sites from the links you provide in your "resource box" and the more backlinks you receive the higher your site will rank in the search engines. Do write lots and lots of articles and keep submitting them on a regular basis. These same articles can be added to your website as new content and visa versa so you only have to write the content once and use it twice.

6. Do Blog about your AdSense websites. The 200 Instant AdSense Niche Templates I'm offering have matching Wordpress Templates. If you use the AdSense template to build a niche in "Afghans" for example, then you'll also have a matching "Afghan" Wordpress Template. Blogging is a great way to improve your search engine rankings and get additional backlinks to your AdSense websites. In addition by adding the blog as a page of your original AdSense website you will be continuously adding new content.

7. Do build your AdSense websites with the primary intent to provide good content and earn revenues with AdSense. If you spend the time developing an informative website and drive free traffic to it you will make money with AdSense. Some niches will make more money than others...but your cost to develop these AdSense sites is your time so every "Cent" you earn is just pure profit beyond the cost of your time.

8. Do build an empire of AdSense sites. You can build your own virtual empire of 200 niche websites with the templates I'm offering. The more sites you build, the more AdSense revenue you will earn. If you build 10 sites that earn you $30 per month then that's an extra $300 per month of auto-pilot income. If those same sites are making $50 per month then that's $500, and so on and so on. You do the math. You're not going to make a fortune from one single AdSense websites, but realize the power of building lots of AdSense websites and multiplying your income with each site you build. The more you build and optimize the more you earn. The object is to build...optimize...rinse...and repeat....over and over again. The more you build niche sites with AdSense then obviously the more AdSense revenue you will earn...and this is revenue that will continue month after month after month. There's virtually no end!
